Osteopathy is a form of manual healthcare that looks at how the body’s structure and function work together to support overall health and wellbeing. Despite the name, osteopaths do more than treat bones—they use a hands-on approach alongside conventional assessments to identify areas of the body that may be contributing to your symptoms.
Osteopathy focuses on restoring movement, easing discomfort, and supporting your body’s natural function.
At Sana Osteopathy, our AHPRA registered osteopaths, Nadia and Haylee, provide manual therapy along-side education and tailored treatment plans, which may include lifestyle advice, exercises, and manual therapy. They can work closely with other health professionals, including GPs, physiotherapists, and exercise physiologists, for multidisciplinary care.
Osteopaths are highly trained health professionals.
During their university degree, osteopaths study how the body works, from the muscles, joints and nerves through to circulation and breathing. They spend years learning at university, in clinics, and on placements before they can practise. On top of this, they’re registered with AHPRA, which means they follow strict professional standards and keep up ongoing training.
